Member Event: RESET In-Person Meeting and Workshops – 16-17 November 2026 IIT Roorkee, India

This event will bring RESET Network members together to exchange ideas and learning, start new collaborations, and shape the future of just energy transitions. Attendees will meet, work and have fun with members from other regions, build new relationships, and contribute to strengthening the RESET Network’s collective impact in the Global South.

The two day program will include:

• An opportunity for every member to leave as the co-author on a new paper
• Sessions for workshopping new ideas for projects and publications, where members bring diverse expertise and experience from different regional angles to compare approaches, spark new ideas and start collaborating
• Hands on training sessions in use of members’ open-source models
• A half-day public workshop where members will have opportunities to participate as panelists and interact with senior policy officials

Attendees will also have the opportunity to join a group visit to Rishikesh, to experience the scenic beauty, culture, and vibrant atmosphere of one of Uttarakhand’s most iconic destinations, and have fun together!

The meeting has been timed to occur immediately after the Environment for Development (EfD) meeting in Kerala, India and after Diwali. We hope this will make it possible for those traveling from afar for the EfD meeting to join us.

Registrations of interest are requested before 21 September – please let us know what you would like to see on the agenda, which will allow us to plan logistics for the event. Completing this registration also allows you to apply for a travel grant* and put your name on the list for accommodation.

A confirmed commitment will not be be required until October once the program is released.

The event is free for members, with meals and accommodation included (accommodation places are limited). Transport to IIT Roorkee from Delhi airport (4 hours) or Dehradun Airport (2 hours) can be coordinated by the event organizers, at the attendee’s cost.
