Starts on November 3, 2026 at 10:00 pm

Across much of Africa, the question is no longer whether renewable energy capacity can be contracted or built, but whether power systems can absorb it. The answer will be central in deciding the future of the energy sector. Impending technical and political choices are vital in setting the direction for grids, policy, and regulation; and will impact anyone who pays for power.

This 90-minute RESET Network webinar brings together researchers and decision-makers to discuss firming and flexibility, storage, transmission and interconnection. They will also discuss the policy implications of what provides backup when the sun sets, drawing on experience from South Africa, East Africa, and beyond.
